I give away a wedding day candid photography coverage every month to one lucky couple. This is just my way of showing my love for photographing weddings and giving back to the society.

What does the couple get?

A full day of wedding coverage by Subhendu Sen - including reception, if it happens on the same day and covers within the stipulated time. I'll upload the edited watermark-free wedding photos to an online photo gallery with a specific web address, like, http://couplesname.subhendusen.com. You can share your online wedding gallery with your friends and family by pointing them to your unique website address. I will also provide the same watermark-free image files in web resolution (600px in the longest side, 72 dpi, JPEG) to you in CD/DVD for your storage and viewing on TV/Monitor using DVD player. I work equally hard as I do for paid assignments and I click lots of photographs. Only the good ones are delivered though. So, there are no restrictions about the number of photographs.

Are there any rules?

Of course, there are. They may be long and sound little critical, but they are like that to avoid any misconceptions or misunderstandings at a later date:

1. The request must be made in complete and proper format within the stipulated period mentioned under "Request Dates" below. Incomplete requests will not be considered.
2. The couple must be getting married within the stipulated dates mentioned under "Wedding Days".
3. Wedding location can be anywhere in India. If the wedding is outside Mumbai, travelling expenses in the fastest mode and decent accommodation are to be provided by you. There're no such charges if the wedding is within Mumbai.
4. You cannot submit this request if (a) I already know you, (b) we are/were in conversation for a paid wedding photography or (c) you have already booked my services for your wedding.
5. This offer is limited to candid and journalistic wedding photography. I'll like to avoid clicking guest group photos. So, it's advised to arrange for separate photographers who will be doing the videos and regular stuffs.
6. Your personalised online wedding album / gallery should be ready for viewing within 2 to 4 weeks from the shooting day. Your site will be live for one year free of cost.
7. The offer is open for the wedding day only, consisting of maximum 10 hours of work. If you wish me to photograph additional days or hours, we can work out a deal. Please do not include your additional days requirements in the request form.
8. In this wedding photography give-away offer, photography comes free - printable photographs do not. You can get the watermark-free hi-resolution print-quality image files (JPEG), clicked by me, at a cost. You may pick and choose photographs you want from the web album or you may get the entire web album in hi-res. Please note that they do not come cheap, but, they are never beyond my one day commercial fee let whatever the number of photographs be. It is not mandatory to get the photos printed through me. You may get the hi-res image files printed through any photo printer, preferably through any Kodak certified printer, at your own cost.
9. You may also get high quality photobook/s printed at an additional cost. The photobook will be printed using the hi-res image files on Kodak photo papers, printed & bound by Kodak certified printer and designed by me. You need to buy the hi-res images first to get the photobook done.
10. I never dump the images to my clients (whether paid or free) directly from the camera. I edit and work on each and every deliverable photograph to give it a look. So, it's not just getting photographed by me, lots of creative work are done on your photographs at the back-end, before they are uploaded or handed over to you. All of these come absolutely free to you (apart from travelling and accommodation costs for beyond Mumbai winners), if you are happy with whatever is mentioned under the "What does the couple get?" section above.
11. Copyright of all the photographs clicked by me (web and print resolution) will be retained with me, with the licence to you for using and printing them for your personal purposes only. The photographs cannot be modified, altered and watermarked without written permission from me. The IPTC Core information embedded in the image files cannot be altered, replaced or deleted.
12. Rights to amend, update and alter these terms or rules at any time are reserved by me.
13. By submitting the request you say that you accept and adhere to these terms or rules mentioned here, allow me to shoot your wedding and use your photographs in my portfolio and use them for editorial and advertising purposes.

I enjoy my work. In other way, I cannot function, if I do not enjoy while working. So, keeping it simple and straight forward, let's move on and have lots of fun while shooting your wedding. :)

What is the selection method?

Each request is gone through thoroughly before I decide upon the lucky couple based on certain criteria. The first criterion is a complete and properly formatted request. All the information provided must be true and genuine. The second criterion is the availablity of the dates. If I'm already booked for a paid wedding on that particular day (or days involved including travelling for outstation requests), then it would be difficult. But, if I confirm a date with you, I will honour that.

The third criterion is how well the wedding is going to enhance my wedding portfolio. So, include as much details as you wish in the request, like, the details about the location, how your wedding is fixed, and, maybe, your love story too! Creativity is encouraged. Please note that, your financial status is not important at all - so please exclude that. I may opt for a small adivasi wedding at a remote village or for an extravaganza wedding at Jaipur palace. I have my own secret ways to decide upon the lucky couple. :)

When shall I announce the lucky couple?

Currently, request dates are open till 14th March, 2012 for wedding dates of 1st - 30rd April, 2012. The names of the lucky couples will be announced within 21st March, 2012. New request date opens on 15th of every month.
